Dr. Ludwig Reichert Verlag, proprietor Ursula Reichert, publishes and sells books and associated products (CDs, DVDs, eBooks) as well as provides services along with associated products in the field of online publishing.
Dr. Ludwig Reichert Verlag, proprietor Ursula Reichert, raises, processes and uses personal data solely for the fulfillment of the purpose stated above.

The following information applies to both the visit of our website and in the context of the execution of orders and service contracts imparted to us.

The data protection practices of Dr. Ludwig Reichert Verlag (hereinafter referred to as Reichert Verlag) adhere to the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union. The protection and security of personal data is a great priority to us. The subsequent passages offer information on what type of data is being collected and to what ends it is being raised:
 

Data transfer / data logging
When visiting this website our web server automatically records log files, which cannot be allocated to specific person. This data includes, for instance, the type and version of the web browser used, the operating system used, the so-called referrer URL (the website visited previously), the IP address of the inquiring computer, the date and time of the server inquiry and the client’s file inquiry (filename and URL). This data is being stored for a maximum of three months. The processing of this data is solely used to enable you to visit our website as well as for statistical purposes. Reichert Verlag uses the log data solely for statistical evaluations conducive to operation, security and optimization of supply; Reichert Verlag does, however, reserve the right to inspect log data, should, by concrete evidence, a justified suspicion of illegal use occur.

Use of personal data
Personal data will only be raised or processed, if you transmit it voluntarily, for instance within the framework of an inquiry or order (intended purpose pursuant to Art. 5 I b GDPR). The elicitation, processing and usage of personal data (surname, name, address, varying delivery address (if applicable), e-mail address, phone number for possible further queries, credit cards (if applicable)) takes place solely for the execution and handling of orders as well as for responding to client inquiries and client consultancy, whereby personal data will only be transferred to the publishing and media distributor on which we bestow the delivery of the placed order, Brockhaus Commission, Kornwestheim and delivery services, and the hosting service provider, on who we bestow the handling of certain online services, Quotus UG, Berlin respectively, or when necessary due to legal requirements.
When a payment is placed via credit card, credit card information will be transferred in encrypted form to our publishing and media distributor or to a clearing house for credit card payments, or the order data will be transmitted to PayPal respectively. The customer submitting the order expressly agrees to this processing and usage. The processing of the data is grounded on Art. 6 GDPR. If you do not provide or disagree with the usage of dedicated data, the delivery of the product cannot take place. The usage of the data (surname, address, e-mail address) further takes place within the framework of a balancing of interests according to Art. 6 1 f GDPR for imparting you with further information on similar books/projects by electronic (newsletter) or postal means. The data (surname, address) may for this purpose be transmitted to a shipping service and deleted immediately after shipping. You can object to this usage at all times. No transfer of data to unnamed third parties or for commercial purposes will occur. You can object to the authorization to storing your personal data previously granted at all times and with immediate effect. The revocation has to be conveyed in written form (i.e. via e-mail or fax). This does not affect the lawfulness of any data processing based on the customer’s consent done prior to the revocation.

Information on, changes to, or cancellation of your data
According to Art. 15 and Art. 16 GDPR you can inquire at all times, in written form, if and what personal data on you is stored by us. You will promptly receive a statement thereon. In addition, you have the right to correction of incorrect data, blocking and deletion of your personal data (Art. 17 GDPR), insofar as there is no legal obligation to retain such data, as well as the right to retrieve your personal data in order to transfer it to another service provider (Art. 20 GDPR, Right to data portability).

Data security
The personal data you have provided us with are being secured by all measures of technical and organizational safeguards in such a way that they are inaccessible to unauthorized third parties. In order to protect the security of the buyer’s information during data transfer we use Secure Sockets Layer Software (SSL). This software encrypts data being conveyed by the buyer. The servers necessary for the execution of our offers (website, e-mail, online services) are located in Germany.

Contact
When contacting the provider (i.e. via contact form or e-mail) the user’s details will be stored in order to handle the inquiry as well as for handling any further questions that may arise in the future.

Newsletter
We use our newsletter to help us inform you on our range of products.
Should you want to receive our newsletter, we will need a valid e-mail address as well as information permitting us to verify that you are the holder of this e-mail address, or that the holder of the e-mail address consents to receiving the newsletter, respectively.
No further data will be collected. The data will be used solely for sending the newsletter and will not be imparted to third parties.
When applying for the newsletter we will save your IP address and the date of application. This retention serves only the purpose of evidence, should a third party misuse an e-mail address and apply for receiving newsletters without the knowledge of the authorized person.
You can revoke your consent to storing the data, your e-mail address as well as its use for sending the newsletter at all times. The revocation can be carried out via a link within the newsletters themselves or by sending a notice to the contact details mentioned above.

Registration function
The registration function on www.reichert-verlag.de has been disabled for new customers until further notice. Only existing customers are granted access.
The data provided within the framework of the registration is employed for the purposes of utilizing our services and offers. Users can be sent information regarding our offers or the registration via e-mail, such as changes in the scope of our offers or concerning technical circumstances. The data collected was taken from the entry field used during registration; it included:
    • given name and surname
    • mailing address
    • e-mail address
    • telephone and fax numbers

This data serves the purpose of avoiding reentering of the customer’s data with multiple orders. Telephone number, fax number and the e-mail address are needed for contacting the customer, should further questions arise.
The registration function on www.reichert-online.org captures the customer’s name and e-mail address for the purchase of online content and uses this data solely for access to online services and offers. The data is being conveyed to the service company Quotus, Berlin for the fulfillment of the purchase.

Cookies
Cookies are small files, which allow the storing of specific, device-related information on the access device of the user (e.g. personal computer, smartphone or the like.
They firstly serve the user-friendliness of websites and thus the user (e.g. saving of login details). Secondly, they aid the collection of statistical data of website utilization, which can then be analyzed in order to improve offers and services. Users can influence the use of cookies. Most web browsers have an option with which the saving of cookies can be restricted or fully prohibited. It is to be said, though, that without cookies, the use of websites and in particular the comfort of use is limited.
