Es ist das Anliegen dieser Buchreihe, in der Dissertationen, Habilitationsschriften, sonstige monographische Darstellungen und Sammelbände erscheinen werden, die Interdisziplinarität der modernen Mittelalterforschung noch mehr hervorzuheben und zu fördern als dies bisher der Fall ist. Angenommen werden Arbeiten aus allen Gebieten der Mediävistik, sofern der Aspekt der Interdisziplinarität darin betont wird, d.h. sofern sie die Grenzen eines einzelnen Faches zu überschreiten suchen.
